One traditionally enters Esoteric Training through a personal relationship with a teacher (initiation) of the student's choosing. Students receive individualized guidance from their initiator. They will likely receive practices that may involve breath, movement, prayer, repetition of sacred names, training in meditation, and the like. (A list of local initiators is included below.)
From time to time teachers from the Eugene Sufi Council will offer classes in esoteric training. These classes may be for initiated students only, offered to those interested in learning more about initiation, or for the general public. Classes offered will be announced on the calendar.
There are also online resources that offer esoteric training. Many may be taken at one’s own pace and others as part of a study circle of students around the country and around the world.
