All healing is done by the divine spirit – in ourselves and others. For spiritual healing to take place, we must first empty ourselves of our daily thoughts and emotions and become deeply aware of the divine presence. See links below for Ongoing Healing Activities, and Healing Retreats in the Eugene/Springfield area. For more information regarding a Sufi approach to healing more generally, see Dervish Healing Order and Sufi Healing Order.
Healing Service
The Healing Service was created by Hazrat Inayat Khan (see Inayat Khan here or here) for those in need. This is a quiet, meditative and intensely powerful practice. As preparation for the Healing Service, we use healing, breath and sound practices, meditation and prayers. If you have someone you would like healing energy/prayers sent to (with permission of the person), please contact us to give us the name at [email protected] and this information will be forwarded to the healing service leader.
Healing Zikr
The Healing Zikr is based on the Healing Service. It combines zikr, Sufi Healing and qigong to heal ourselves, others and the earth.
To heal ourselves, we clear, cleanse, balance and strengthen our spiritual energy centers/chakras with the energy of the earth and the divine. To heal others, we let spiritual healing flow through us toward those present and not present, places and groups that need healing and the earth. May the divine healing love, light and life heal us and flow through us – to heal all beings. Healing Zikrs take place every 3-6 months, as part of the 4th Friday Zikr.
